About Us

Sandlot Pitching Leagues

Pitching Leagues will be scheduled for 8-week durations during the Fall and Winter months each year. Pitching leagues will be organized by age similar to the age divisions of youth baseball programs.  Teams will consist of 3 members per team and will compete on a weekly basis against other teams in their age bracket.

Games will be played using the K-Zone Computerized Pitching System.  The K-zone measures pitch accuracy and speed and gives the pitcher a numerical rating.  Games will be played using the K-Zone League Software.

Teams will rotate pitchers through a simulated game and get scored by the K-Zone System.  Scores will be determined by the pitcher's success at hitting the K-Zone target board.  Pitch location and speed are registered by the electronics and sent directly to the computer so there is no need for an umpire. Games consist of 9 innings (as in regular baseball/softball) and are decided by computer score.

The object of these leagues is to provide a regularly scheduled practice opportunity in a competitive environment.  This will serve the athlete in his/her development of their baseball/softball skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Awards and trophies will be available for winning teams.  However, the emphasis will still be placed on participation, sportsmanship, and improvement.
