The BASES Foundation is a seperate division of ENFUCO Enterprises, LLC that has been established with the goal of assisting baseball and softball teams and financially needy individual athletes with financial support. Funding for the BASES Foundation is provided by occassional fund-raising events held at the BASES Training Facility or other community venues. The BASES Foundation IS NOT a 501(c)(3) organization, and , as such, donations to the BASES Foundation ARE NOT tax deductible under that provision if the IRS code. However, it is the goal of the BASES Foundation to use 100% of the profits from BASES Foundation fund-raising events to support worthy local causes. Specific examples of this support is to assist The Saints 13U Baseball team, a newly formed team that uses the BASES Training Facility as its home. The BASES Foundation also plans to provide funding for financially needy families to provide.o In order to build long term, mentoring relationships with at-risk youth The Sandlot Foundation cultivates it’s relationships in an athletic, community-building atmosphere. The BASES Foundation provides a safe and fun environment through its free summer camps to children that are under privileged and love baseball and softball. The Sandlot-BWI supports the High Country Sandlot Foundation mission by sponsoring fundraising events, local to the Baltimore region, that ultimately support to our local youth baseball and softball community. 90% of all profits raised through events at The Sandlot-BWI are returned to our local community to provide for local summer camps for underpriveleged youth, to assist local baseball and softball programs, and to promote the character building (C.H.A.M.P.S.) programs of the local Sandlot.
BASES has set a goal to raise enough funds by May 2010 to host a free camp for underpriveleged at-risk youth in the Baltimore/Anne Arundel County region. The camp will be held during July or August of 2010 if the fundraising goals are achieved.
The BASES Foundation: Mission To utilize principals learned on to improve the lives and character of young adults today. Vision GoalsAcademics- Baseball/Softball- To address all aspects of baseball/softball so participants have all the skills and tools necessary to succeed Character- To reinforce the imprtance of developing good character to youth athletes representing BASES Quality Programming- To implement quality human services programming with a sports focus that will help youth achieve better lives
Current BASES Foundation Sponsored Fundraising Events:
1) BASES Foundation Wall-of-Fame The Wall-of-Fame is conspicously located at the center of the main hall in the BASES facility. The wall contains photographs and stories about individuals who have exuded exceptional character qualities throughout their lives and have dedicated themselves to the betterment of the lives of their friends, families, and local communities. Nomination to the Wall-of-Fame is as simple as providing a photo of the nominee and a story about the nominee and how their character has affected others in their lives. If that individual is elected to The Wall-of-Fame, their photo and story will be prepared for display. A donation to BASES Foundation should accompany election to The Wall.
2) Silent Auction(s) of Sports Memorabilia ENFUCO Enterprises, LLC will conduct a series of silent auctions throughout the year to raise funds for the works of The BASES Foundation. These silent auctions will normally consist of sports memeorabilia, signed pieces, baseball cards, and more. Other, non-sport related items will also be auctioned off occasionally.
3) ENFUCO Enterprises, LLC Special Events ENFUCO Enterprises, LLC will periodically announce special events designed to raise money for the local BASES Foundation programs.
